US and International Educational Travel

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Hemisphere Educational Travel is celebrating 37 years of educational travel.  Since 1970 Hemisphere Educational Travel has given thousands of students fun-filled, educational tours in the US and International Tours in Canada, Mexico, and many other European Countries.  Educational Travel is the best way for students to learn many of their subjects.  A trip to Paris with the Le Louvre or the Musee d’Orsay in the itinerary will be very helpful for students with French coursework or in their Art coursework, or both.  Local educational travel also has a huge benefit, a trip to Chicago could include the Brookfield Zoo, the Chicago Mercantile Exhange, or the Shedd Aquarium and Oceanarium.  Hemisphere Educational Travel follows safety procedures including supervised tours, security guards to monitor hotel hallways for overnight tours, and 24 hour emergency contact numbers.

Overnight tours include transportation, meals, all admissions, professional tour guides, tour escorts, and a create-a-video memory keepsake.  Every tour is customized to fit the needs of the group.

Oil and Gas Prices Hit New Record Highs

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

The average national gas prices have cleared the $3.64 a gallon mark and continue to look higher.  Gas prices usually follow oil prices and oil hit a record $124 a barrel.  Analysts expect the national gas average to hit $4.00 a gallon later this summer as their looks to be no relief from this in sight.  Bullish momentum and the weakening US dollar look to continue the push towards even higher record oil prices.

Retailers April Sales Suprise to the Upside

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

For the first month in quite a while a large group of retailers suprised with sales numbers to the upside.  While clothing, and other non-necesssary sales were still down, discounters like Walmart and Costco looked to be doing much better.  Consumers seem to be looking for value and lower price points to stretch their dollar.  May and June are expected to be a litte better as well as the rebate checks should be getting into the consumers hands to give them some extra spending power.
